- Each time one of these glasses is filled with water, the submerging of the island's topography illustrates rising sea levels triggered by climate change. The terrain is derived from NASA elevation data, and each island is identified by geographic coordinates engraved into the bottom of the glass that mark the highest elevation point of that island.
